About Us

Twenty years ago, Jan Sosinko took over a tiny café in London St. Her greatest pleasure had always been working in the kitchen, experimenting with food and cooking for friends and family. Her idea was to have a small lunch café specializing in producing really good, homestyle cooking, all made from scratch on the premises – the kind of food your mother might have made if she had been a really good cook.

The café was called Maggy’s and although Jan originally intended to change the name, the beautiful sign writing on the window was too lovely to destroy, so Maggy’s it remained.

Three locations later, Maggy’s Catering is a household name in Hamilton, providing both corporate and private catering to a wide range of clients.

We now have TWO CAFES where you can sample our innovative food - deVice Cafe at Waikato Innovation Park, Ruakura, and latest addition S'Orbi, at 180 Peachgrove Road. At the Cafes, we use only FAIR TRADE COFFEE AND TEA, and our coffee is supplied by local roastery LAROMA.
